Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive legal support for commercial matters and business operations, including contract drafting and negotiations with business partners. - Collaborate effectively with regional and cross-functional teams (including product, compliance, finance, and tax) to provide legal support from business strategy to daily queries. - Advise on legal and compliance assessment of product features, processes, and functions, considering a broad range of legal aspects, including copyright, data privacy, and other relevant regulatory requirements, based on solid and in-depth legal research and analysis for targeted regions. - Create templates, guidelines, and playbooks to support the product teams or facilitate compliance initiatives - Address legal challenges related to complaints, litigation, authority inquiries, and regulatory compliance requirements, ensuring professional and timely resolution. - Facilitate Intellectual Property (IP) registration and manage the IP assets, including trademark, copyright, and patent - Other work is assigned by the supervisor on a case-by-case basis. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - LLM or JD degree from an accredited Law School and a member in good standing of a Bar Association. - 5+ years of experience in-house and/or in a reputable law firm, working in the IP/IT, media, and technology fields - Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills, complemented by a professional, prudent, and detail-oriented approach to legal matters. - Flexible, solution-oriented, proactive, self-motivated, and ownership-focused, with the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes independently. - Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and cross-functional partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds - Ability to assess legal, practical, and business risks in a fast-paced environment and provide sound and actionable advice under tight deadlines. - Professional working proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin is required. - Ability to adapt to fast-changing business demands, and respond promptly to cross-regional requests, including managing expectations during multinational holiday schedules. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in pan-entertainment internet products is highly preferred. - Prior experience as a Legal BP with independent responsibility for product legal support is highly desirable - Familiarity with data privacy and AI governance is a plus. - Exceptional work ethic and professional attitude. - Exceptional team spirit, willing to help, and take initiative.
